Chocolate Chip Hazelnut Brownies
1 cup rolled oats
1 1/2 cup roasted hazelnuts
1/4 cup flax meal
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1./2 cup coconut sugar
3/4 cup applesauce
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a high speed blender grind the hazelnuts, oats and flax to a fine consistency.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the applesauce (or nut butter + milk), coconut sugar, and vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients along with the salt and baking soda. Stir to combine.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Transfer to a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Press flat and sprinkle on a few extra chocolate chips.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top.
Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
